Join us for a community conversation about the behavioral, mental health, and educational implications of cell phone use among children and young adults today.
¼â½ÐÊÓÆµ University's January 2025 Campus Connect event will feature an interactive panel discussion about cell phone use among today's youth on Thursday, Jan. 30, from 5 to 6 p.m. at the ¼â½ÐÊÓÆµ University Store, located at 1499 Post Road, in downtown ¼â½ÐÊÓÆµ.
The panel of experts will include ¼â½ÐÊÓÆµ Public Schools Superintendent Michael Testani, ¼â½ÐÊÓÆµ University Associate Professor Joseph DeLuca, PhD, and ¼â½ÐÊÓÆµ University Associate Dean Joshua Elliott, EdD. Dr. DeLuca specializes in clinical psychology, especially mental health in youth, and Dr. Elliott is director of the School of Education and Human Development's educational technology program.
Panelists will share their perspectives on the challenges presented by cell phone usage among students in school districts such as ¼â½ÐÊÓÆµ and offer insights on ways that parents can prepare their children for life with cell phones and social media — both inside and outside the classroom.
