The College of Arts and Sciences empowers and encourages undergraduate students from all disciplines to conduct innovative, in-depth, and collaborative research under the guidance and encouragement of faculty experts and staff. Each year, more than 300 faculty-student research projects are conducted in the areas of STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics), the humanities, arts, and social sciences, more than half of which are presented at national scholarly meetings and/or published in professional journals and manuscripts.

College of Arts & Sciences Career Development Center

As students proceed through their academic journey, the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) Office of Career and Professional Development offers advising, counseling, programming, and experiential opportunities to help students discover their strengths, explore career paths, and build essential skills needed to succeed in their professional career.

Throughout the career development process, we provide holistic, individual support to all College of Arts and Sciences students by offering one-on-one career counseling appointments. During these sessions, students can work with members of our professional development team to develop career materials (resume, cover letter), explore career options, search for jobs and relevant internships, prepare for interviews, optimize their LinkedIn profile, and more.

Working closely with a passionate faculty, you’ll have the opportunity for civic engagement, studying abroad, and hands-on research across many disciplines, including the arts and humanities, natural sciences and mathematics, and social and behavioral sciences. Through the College of Arts and Sciences, you will be grounded in the 500-year-old Jesuit tradition of academic rigor and personal reflection, while preparing yourself to meet the demands of today’s marketplace and interpreting the ever-changing world in which we live.
